The International and National Organizing Committees announce the V Latin American and Caribbean Meeting of producers, experimenters and researchers in organic agriculture and the V Fair of the Latin American and Caribbean Organic Producer. In the International Year of Biodiversity, the event this year is dedicated to enhance the contribution that ecological agriculture delivers to climate change mitigation and adaptation, for promotion of agricultural biodiversity, improved water and soil management and, in general, for food sovereignty, rural development and living rural areas. |

Über einige der Träger/Innen des alternativen Nobelpreises gibt es hervorragende Filme. So hat allein der renommierte Dokumentarfilmer Bertram Verhaag (u.a. zweifacher Grimme -Preisträger) spannende Filme über Ibrahim Abouleish, Vandana Shiva sowie Louise und Percy Schmeiser gedreht. Er wird für den Abend zusammenfassend Höhepunkte aus den drei Filmen (jeweils ca. 10 Minuten) zusammenstellen. Zu den Trailern werden dann die 3 Laureaten jeweils einen ca. 10-12 minütigen Vortrag halten, gefolgt von einer Diskussion mit dem Filmemacher, seinen Protagonisten sowie dem Publikum. |

The first BioFach India took place together with the fifth India Organic Trade Fair, IOTF, in the Bombay Exhibition Centre from 18–20 November 2009. The joint exhibition presented the entire spectrum of the Indian
organic market: from farming, processing and certification to trade. 129 exhibitors were delighted with the high-level audience and the lively interest shown by the 3,044 trade visitors. |
